DISNEY STORE DESIGNER COLLECTION - SLEEPING BEAUTY 55TH ANNIVERSARY 17" LIMITED EDITION COLLECTIBLE DOLL – MALEFICENT & DIABLO

Plastic and vinyl Maleficent doll inspired by her appearance in Walt Disney’s Sleeping Beauty animated film (1959) and released to celebrate its 55th Anniversary and return on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in 2014. Maleficent has been styled in couture fashion with glamorous make-up, and released as part of the series of four (4) Sleeping Beauty Limited Edition dolls also including Princess Aurora (Pink Gown), Princess Aurora (Blue Gown) and Prince Phillip.

Pearlescent gray-green vinyl doll head includes integrated gloss black headdress with horns, printed and painted facial features, and rooted black saran eyelashes. Body assembly includes pearlescent gray-green plastic torso, arms and legs with black imprinted neck, purple imprinted panties, and magenta imprinted fingernails and black imprinted ring on gray-green vinyl hands.

Removable fabric costume includes a black velvet overgown (also known as a houppelande) with flaring dagged sleeves resembling flames, trimmed and lined with purple and red satin, featuring an integrated triple-layered black faux-leather and purple satin collar and fastening with clear velcro. Overgown is accented with black embroidered thorn filigree motif, black and purple faceted stones, and is worn over a purple satin micro-pleated gown (also known as a kirtle).

Accessories include clear plastic display saddle stand, black plastic shoes and gold plastic staff featuring amber faceted stones with silver plastic orb – upon which Maleficent’s raven familiar, Diablo, is perched – which is made from black PVC with imprinted details and hand-painted accents.
